19 days

Alright, so I took all new pictures for the Book Arts page of the blog!! I also updated all of the pictures in the Embodiment Monotypes and Incorporeal Monotypes pages [and added the new ones]!!! So enjoy- there's much much more to come! Tonight is also dedicated to the final touches of the covers for the latest book edition, "Be".  Pictures of that edition will be uploaded early next week, and I can't wait to share those!! There is still a chance one or more of those will find their way onto a pedestal in the senior show, so stay tuned for that update.  As far as the show goes- we just received the show cards from the printers today, so those will be addressed and sent out by the end of this week!

Today was the first day of the Biennial Fine Art Print Sale at UWSP, and so far we've raised a lot of money!!!!  All prints are $25, and work ranges from beginning to advanced students, faculty, and graduates.  The work is donated to the sale from the artists, and all proceeds go toward funding this summer's Monoprint 2011: A Gathering of Artists.  I was fortunate enough to participate in the last Monoprint workshop [2009], but this year looks even more promising!!  UWSP brings in 12 printmakers from all over the world for a week-long intensive print extravaganza, and it is a BLAST! I will be making the new "mascot" print this year for the event, so keep an eye out for that!! It will end up in the Embodiment Monotype page once I get it finished.

Other than that, tomorrow is completely dedicated to printing AND painting new Incorporeal prints, and submitting four pieces to the owners of Gallery 3 in Manitwoc, WI who will pick one for inclusion in their next show.  Check out their website if you get a chance- they seem to be doing some great things!  The gallery only focuses on work that is contemporary or culturally significant, and they're interested in having a contemporary printmaking show- opening receptions are April 28 and 29 for those who are nearby!
